Dr. Krause grew up in Plymouth, Michigan (a suburb of Detroit). She received her DVM degree from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Dr. Krause practiced in companion animal hospitals in the metro Detroit area until 2007. At that time, she left general practice and formed Great Lakes Veterinary Behavior Consultants, a housecall behavior-only practice. Recently, Dr. Krause accepted a faculty position in the veterinary technology program at Baker College of Jackson, Michigan (a private college). She is continuing her veterinary behavior practice as well as teaching.
