Adult Learning Theories are formulated based on the intellect of adults. The obstacles one many have in their personal life that could hinder their performance. Instructors use these theories in order to structure the learning material and what criteria their students fall under. Every student is unique, their situation, circumstances, and life experiences differ from one another. The intention of adult learning theories are to give scholars an insight on the learning process.

The learning process is continuous, scholars that are at the entry level with less experience need to reflect on their previous experiences that could help them to prosper while attending school. According Sharan learning is not just in our minds but in our feelings, surroundings, will-power, and character (persona). It is our desire to learn something different, to absorb new knowledge, reflect on it, and recall as needed when formulating knowledge (Sharan B. Merrian pg. 97).
COMPARISON OF THE TWO ARTICLES
Both articles express how the adult learning process as a unique process. In the endeavor of approaching learning material educators should keep in mind the different perspectives of the material to. So that the scholar isn't perplexed, the learning material should be presented in a way so that is effective to the learner. Embracing every students diversity because they all have knowledge that can be imparted in the learning environment. Educators as well as scholars should be humble enough to listen to one another philosophical opinion when interpreted into discussion.
There are a variety of theories regarding how significant and unique the adult learns. These theories are essential for development of the educator as well as the scholar. Adult learning theories is the foundation for fundamental learning material. Scholar are diverse, differ experiences, differ circumstances, and differ situations that may or may not inspire fellow classmates. Learning material should be presented as thoroughly as possible so that the information is profitable. Not only do we process knowledge through our minds, but as well as in our inner being and intellect which may influence others and develop ourselves in the process of learning.
As an online scholar reflecting on these learning theories is a great way to excel in the learning process. I would reflect on the knowledge gained from my researching/ studying into context when writing a term paper, or a manuscript. I feel as though the information is very profitable to enhance my writing abilities, recalling is an excellent performance enhancer.
