I also recall when she could not pay the electric bill and there was no power in the house. She worked overtime at night to get the money to get the lights turned back on.Now I am seventeen years old and employed. I pay the house phone bill and some days I may buy dinner for the family. I know that I'll never again have to worry about the bills being paid or the next meal I'll eat. I don't mind paying a bill or buying food with my paycheck. I just think about the extra activities or shopping my mom can do with the money she has left over. All of my life my mother has taken care of me, now I feel it's time to take care of her. There is no possible way to repay my mother for giving to me and caring for me, but this is my personal way of showing gratitude.
