2 million are killed by road traffic injuries and more than 3500 people die from such injuries every day.

The main purpose of this research is to collect and present the various types of accidents that occur as reported in the different Medias. The aim of this research is to gain a better understanding of the trends and circumstances of fatal accidents and injuries reviewing existing articles. The objectives are as follows:
* Identify the number of fatalities resulting from accidents
* Identify the types of injuries (serious & minor)
* Number of accidents per type
* Identify the causes of these accidents.

A total of 22 articles were collected from newspapers and the internet between the months of February and March 2012. The selection was random and data were analysed using Microsoft excel.

Results
The findings are presented in the following tables 1 &2 and graph 1.
