A believer should believe in Allah (swt) his Angels, his books, his messengers also in the last day and Alqdar (The Devine Creed).

The Prophet said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the sweetness (delight) of faith:
1. The one to whom Allah and His Apostle becomes dearer than anything else.
2. Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's sake.
3. Who hates to revert to Atheism (disbelief) as he hates to be thrown into the fire?"
Umar (ra) asked the children of Harim Ibn Sinnan,”what has zuhair given to you, and what have you given him?” they said, “he complimented us well and we gave him wealth.” Umar (ra) said, “By Allah, what you have given him has perished, and what he has given you has remained.”
A true believer will always try hard to please Allah (swt) this is his main goal in this worldly life therefore his actions are based on loving Allah(swt) and doing everything for the sake of him alone.
A true believer will remain steadfast in difficulties thanking Allah(swt) constantly in good times and bad times his yaqin (certainty) is high nothing affects him , his happy with Allah’s decree.
Prophet (saw) said:”performing good deeds is tranquility while performing sins is uncertainty.”
Aaidh ibn Abdullah Al-Qarnee said: the doer of good is always at peace and the sinner is always wary and suspicious of what goes on around him.
Umar bin Alkhatab (ra) said: I heard Allah’s messenger (saw) saying “actions are judged by intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrates for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration will be for what he emigrated for.”
The Quran makes clear what Allah demands of us. We should devote ourselves wholly to Allah; we also should live and die for him only. We should always be aware that the whole world belongs to Allah (swt) therefore we should live to serve him, worship him
Quran states:” my prayers and my sacrifices, and my living and my dying are for God alone, the lord of the entire world no partner has he. Thus I have been commanded, and I am foremost among those who surrender (themselves unto him)”. (Alanam 6:163)
It is certainly apparent that by keeping to belief certain levels of faith can be attained but one can argue do all the actions of believer inherint bad habits? For example the Prophet and the old lady who would constantly throw rubbish on him while he was passing by, in the end this woman was greatly moved by his kindness and love of the Prophet. She accepted Islam at once.
