The Negative effects of Watching Television:

Watching television is as equal to having an addiction like with drugs and alcohol. The television experience allows us to escape from the real world and enter into a pleasurable and peaceful mental state. When it comes to television we watch movies, games or news that is use of television viewing that falls into the more serious category of destruction addiction? To my perspective, I think there is. If you think about it, why do so many people watch so many hours of television and instead of doing what they’re supposed to be doing, they put everything else on hold and just focus on television? When they lose sleep because of TV, they become less alert during the day, and these results in poor school performance.

Presently children watch television for long hours and many times, they spend their evening time by just watching their favourite programs on TV. At times they stay up late to watch films on TV. The addiction to television deprives them of their time to play and physical activities which is strongly required to becoming the healthy adult life. Children should rather engage in physical activities during the evenings. They should go to the open spaces to play with friends or spend time reading some good books. Moreover, watching television is detrimental to one's eyesight. These activities can help them live a healthier living
