Athletics vs Acedemics
The struggle between athletics and acedemics has been a long fought battle that ranges
from the elementary school level all the way up to the collegiate level. In many institutions
the emphasis has shifted from acedemics to athletics, but in reality athletics in some aspects
can be just as important as acedemics. The benefits of focusing souly on acedemics for the
most part are obvious, such as a better education usually means a higher paying job and also
the feeling of self-accomplishment for achieving your goals.

Many adults attribute their ongoing participation in sports to the love of the game
cultivated as kids. Sports can be exciting, especially when you get to a competitive level.
This is most likely to occur when your child enters high school and they compete against
classmates and other regional high schools. Although this is important to your child, you
must not push the importance of excelling academically to the side for the sake of the game.
It is a common dream for a child to want to play a particular sport professionally in the future.
As a parent, you do not want to dash these hopes or make it seem impossible for these
dreams to become reality. Although the odds might be limited, itâ€™s not impossible to
become a professional athlete. However, it is also important that your child have options.
Encourage your child to do well in class as well as on the field. Although school work
