The songs listed on this CD tells of Gawain’s struggle with the Green Knight, and the adventure that takes place along the way. The songs listed are “In the End” by Linkin Park, “It’s my Life” by Bon Jovi, “All the Small Things” by Blink 182, “I’m a Believer” by the Monkees, and “The Game” by Disturbed. Each plays a part on his quest, ranging from the fear of the Green Knight’s axe, to the temptation of the Lady in which house he stayed. This CD will appeal to all audiences, as it is a clean collection of music with references to the epic poem written by the “Pearl Poet”.

“It's my life, It's now or never, I ain't gonna live forever, I just want to live while I'm alive” (7-9). The chorus lines sung here depicts what Gawain was thinking, especially after the Green Knight teased him with the second swing of the axe.
“All the Small Things” – Blink 182
King Arthur states before the feasting may begin during the holiday times, there must be games played and stories told. The Green Knight entered and offered a Christmas game to the court of King Arthur. Gawain offered to play the game, and thus severs the Green Knight’s head from his body. After the predicament, Arthur states that enough games had been played. Gawain stands there, still holding the bloodied axe, and King Arthur tries to calm him down, his nephew, stating that the “axe had hewn enough today” (160). “Keep your head still, I’ll be your thrill, the night will go on” (27-30). King Arthur’s words calm down Gawain, and the night’s festivities continue.
“I’m a Believer” – Monkees
The entire quest Sir Gawain embarked upon, was a test of his knightly stature. His strength, honesty, and virtues were all included in his quest of testing.
