Bullying is a problem most of us have gone through in our lives from time to time. All of us have seen it happen but don't know how to do anything against it. We are all different, and unfortunately some people fail to see the greatness in that. Being judged on your appearance, social class or performance level is very common in todayâ€™s society. Peoples personal preferences should not influence the way that they act around people. Bulling is comprised of direct behaviors such as teasing, taunting, threatening, and stealing that are initiated by one or more students against a victim.
Bullying is caused by bullies, not their victims. No one deserves to be intimidated. How you handle intimidation depends on the situation and your personal style. Don't feel like you can't speak up for yourself and you have to suffer in silence.

Some adults believe that bullying is a part of growing up and that hitting back is the only way to slove the problem. But that's not the case. aggressive responses tend to lead to more violence and more bullying for the victims. Teachers have been encouraging students to report everything from name calling to threats. "If you see bullying going on and you don't do anything about it, you're just as guilty", says technology instructor Joseph Stawisuck, who constructed the complaint box. A 6th grader named Stephany says bullying has already been cut down. "Kids like the idea that they don't have to be embarrassed going up to a teacher and saying that there getting bullied or they have seen someone getting bullied". Another prevention is to practice feeling good about yourself. You can't control other people's actions, but you can stay true to yourself. Think about ways to feel your best and your strongest so that other kids may give up the teasing. Exercising is one way to feel strong and powerful. Learn a martial art or take a class like yoga. Another way to gain confidence is to sharpen your skills in something like chess, art, music, computers, or writing. Joining a class, club, or gym is a great way to make new friends and feel great about yourself. The confidence you gain will help you ignore the mean kids. Even if the child has not yet faced any such situation it is important to explain him such behaviours in the society and ways to face it. If left unspoken to, this childhood problem can have serious effects on the personality of the child throughout his life.
