Proposal for Online Business Expansion

Titan Towing Company has been growing slow since it has launched its business in 2000. The towing market is competitive as there are already established towing companies within the city. Currently Titan Towing makes the majority of its business with direct calls for vehicle tows or roadside assistance. Titan Towing does not hold any city contracts.

Titan Towing Company has not put too much money into an advertising budget. Currently Titan is found in the phone book or seeing their trucks around town. Being a small fleet, however, does not contribute too many leads. Titan Towing does ...view middle of the document...

d.). People are busy, on the go, and do not stop to ask for information. They seek information and research online. They are looking for opinions, comments, and reviews from others. They would rather have the edge of knowing about your business before contacting you.

It is my recommendation to expand further on the Internet for Titan Towing Company. To do so the company will need to launch a website using a unique domain name that represents the company and is easy to navigate within the site. The website will focus on providing general information such as location, hours, and contact. Provide details on the roadside assistance services offered and the fees associated. The site will also promote the types of towing services capable with fees for hookup, mileage, and storage.

Along the launch of a website, Titan Towing will include online chat support on the website and set up profiles on Facebook and Twitter. The staff will monitor activity from visitors to respond to questions and towing or roadside requests. Utilizing a mobile payment system such as Square Up will allow Titan Towing to offer additional payment options other than just cash.

Lastly, Titan Towing will implement a CRM software system for additional benefits to both customers and employees. The CRM software will allow secure sign in for all users. Customers will access towing and payment history. Customer will be able to request a schedule tow or chat online with support. Employees will log and record inbound phone calls into customer accounts, access employee scheduling, post payments, and review reports of various trending.

The implementations costs will be minimal to get prepare and launch the website. The return of investment will be almost immediate with the number of people using the internet through their computers, tablets, and smart phones to look up local services. To ensure the success of launching the website, Titan Towing needs to stand out from their competitors that already have a strong online presence.

I researched online by using a major search engine, it is seen from the search results that Beaverton Towing and Speeds Towing Company are two strong competitors for this area. Both provide a strong online presence by using a website and social media, but differ in their means of exposure and services offered.

Beaverton Towing’s website provides services, contact information, and operator requirements. This provides customers background information what the company requires to hire drivers. This backs the company up with the level of service you can expect from them. Beaverton Towing also has an online roadside request form. This is great for scheduling, but for immediate service, this form of communication could hurt their business. There is no information explaining an expected turn around to get a response. While they do have a Facebook page, the page did not provide any additional or unique information that I could not get from their web...
