Running head: WORLDVIEW
I. Christian Worldview
A Christian worldview is the view of the world from what is written in the Bible. It consists of beliefs and elements from a biblical point of view. It is how we choose to live our lives, our beliefs, and our values.
II. The Biblical / Christian Worldview
1. Question of Origin is where we came from. We were created by God. God created all humans. God created the heavens and earth in the beginning of time (Genesis 1:1-2). God created the earth and humans on it (ISAIAH 45:12). God created everything visible and non visible.
2. Question of Identity means that God is the creator of everything in our universe, including plants, animals, lakes, oceans, mountains, sand, ...view middle of the document...
4. Question of Morality God is the basis for morality, we must develop good
character within ourselves. We must know truth from lies, and know that we have
a loving God to worship and live for (John 1:5). God created us to be moral
human beans, and share the same character as he does. We need to have Grace,
this will provide us the motivation to change our character defects and get rid of
our bad habitats and develop new good character (Galatians 5:22-23).
5. The Question of Destiny is our future that God has planned for us. Before God
created the first man and women Adam and Eve he had plans for our Destiny. If
we want eternal life we must refrain from sin and obey God (1 Timothy 2:3-4).
If we want to be forgiven of our sins we must accept Jesus Christ as our savior
(Romans 6:23; 8:11).
III. How might/should a biblical worldview influence the way you [Refer specifically to how biblical worldview beliefs influence your answer] choose only two of these:
Think about, treat, and speak to others on a daily basis?
I believe as a Christian I should treat people with kindness, offer them help when in need, love thy neighbor and respect others. I give my friends rides when they are without transportation, food when they are hungry. I do not use bad language, and listen when people talk to me. I try to live in Gods Grace everyday.
Treat/interact with the environment and non-human creation?
This pertains to me because I recycle everything I can. I recycle all metals, cans, tin, copper, aluminum, as well as plastic and paper. I believe in saving our Earth for new generations to enjoy. I try to grow my own vegetables and have lots of trees and plants to shade my house.
