She spoke with great knowledge of the information given, and had given great enthusiasm. She was kind and made going to Bandelier more interesting. At first I had felt that Bandelier was just going out into nature, seeing rocks, hiking; nothing to interesting. After not only her presentation but after attending, and seeing what was really there was far more interesting than what I had in mind. Knowing that people had lived there, in the rock caves was phonominal. The rooms were small, and I had no idea where they would even sleep, let alone have a whole tribe/ colony live there. Being abel to see plants that can heal, treat, kill and even be made out of tea was amazing. Being able to attend Bandelier showed me a whole new experience to not only their society and how they lived, but more of how we live today in our modern world.
I had observed a large amount of plants while hiking. Many were of multiple sizes, colors, and what they ...view middle of the document...
i think being able to know what others had to adapt to was hard to believe, only because I live in a much more easier society. They had to plant all of their food, make shelter, and find plants in which would suit them for their needs. Going to Bandelier relates to my essay because it really looks like a dream, you would never believe that there were people living there. It was a dream that people once had to live through.

“When I write, I bid farewell to myself. I leave more of what I know behind and wander through the landscape of languageâ€
I fell very connected as to what Jimmy Santiago Baca is saying. I to, when I write leave reality behind an wander the depths of my soul. I find the meaning as to what I write, explore new foundations in my path which encourages my writing. The landscape of language was put perfectly together, our landscape the ground is full of knowledge and words waiting to be matched up in a puzzle; finding the meaning of a written language. I settle into my world with that very same language a group of passionate words. I enjoy how he relates himself from jail life to the earth’s compounds. He shows more meaning into what he is saying, when involving the earth. I feel this chapter is really touching; he has so many powerful points. I look forward to moving on in the book, seeing what else Mr. Baca has top offer.
