* What is ageism? How does ageism influence the presence of diversity in society?

* What is being done to address the issues you identified?
There are several political organization and advocacy groups to help the elderly. Two popular ones are AARP and OWL. AARP stands for American Associations for Retired People helps with insurance and discounts for things like medicine, life insurance hotel,etc. OWL which stands for Older Women League, helps with social security, access to health insurance and pension reform. There are also housing available for the elderly so that they can have a reasonable place to live and additional help for them. Firms are even giving larger raises to older workers to encourage their retirement at the higher salary (Schaefer, 2012)..

* Is the number of aging population expected to rise in numbers or decrease?
