'N storm uitgebars het in die beleid kringe in Suid-Afrika na Julius Malema die leier van die African National Congress Jeugliga (ANCYL) met vrymoedigheid die behoefte vir die mynbedryf in Suid-Afrika te wees genasionaliseer geproklameer. Die vraag was berus op die vervulling van die visie van die Vryheidsmanifes, wat op Kliptown aanvaar is in 1955 as die "manifes" van die vryheidstryd.
