Decision In Paradise: Part 1
Kava is a small island country in the South Pacific plagued with unfortunate situations that have brought about one disaster after another. This country is in serious need of assistance and support in the circumstances of getting the country cleaned up and on its way to recovery. The mission is to see what the Target Corporation can do to help this country recuperate and maintain on a path of growth and success.

The Target currently in Kava is one of the smaller stores with minimum products. Expanding the store to a Super Target would introduce new products that would help in times of disasters. Another prospective problem or concern inform the stakeholders about is the acquisition of land in this country and how much the initial clean up they will be helping with. With the disasters, the cleanup of the surrounding area and the area in which Target buys the land to build a new Target store or expand the current store, may be too much money and not be feasible to do. The stakeholders must understand that the benefit to the community and doing the right thing might outweigh the cost. The benefit to the community would be that it would give them hope in re-establishing their lives, and tourism may resume boosting their economy. Target Corporation possessing a larger presence in Kava would definitely help with that. The right thing to do currently is to help their economy because the people of Kava have given a large amount to the Target Corporation.

Doing the right thing is important. The founder of the company, Chris Morales, believes in doing the right thing. The right thing to do at this current time is to help not only the people of Kava but also the government and other companies that do business there. He knows that his company and the people who are part of it are not perfect, but continually try...
