A Day at the Beach Maria
It was a warm, humid sunny day in West Palm Beach, Florida, a perfect day for the beach. We all got our blue, pink, green, and red bathing suits on and decided to head to the glorious beach. My mom, my little sister K., my nephew D., and I all sat in the car and started to drive to a beach. We weren’t sure which one though, but we were going to find the perfect place to spend our day. Every single one of us were anxious to cross that bridge that would lead us to where the beaches were.

I decided that it would be fun to find some shells. Most shells are all the same and boring, but once in a while you can find something extraordinary and unique. I found the top of a big shell, it was so pretty with its complicated detailed. I felt so happy to find such a thing. I ran to show my mom, and she said I did a great job. It may only be a piece of a big shell, but considering you can only find the big ones in the deep parts of the ocean, I was ok with what I found. We spent some more time hunting for shells mainly collecting the typical shells you’ll find on any day. Even though they may just be plain and small shells in our eyes; each one of them has a story behind them.
When we began feeling languor from running on the sand, so we decided to sit and relax and make a HUGE sand castle. We grabbed anything we could find to help us with the building, shells, shovels, buckets, twigs and a good spot. You don’t want to build a sand castle in completely dry sand, so we chose a semi damp spot. My little sister, K., had the job of collecting wet sand in to the bucket.
