Technology in today's world is always changing and the ever improvements have caused need for experienced and well-trained individuals. Some people will even go as far as stating that if aircraft has evolved as fast as technology the world would be traveling to the moon for vacation. This paper will go over some of the aspects of the training environment within Verizon Wireless. The management teams are trained through mostly computer based training as well. Two full-time trainers use a variety of materials and presentation methods to provide ongoing operational and skill-enhancement, soft skills, and managerial techniques. The trainers supplement their personal experiences, examples, comparison statistics, and history that support the main points of the presentations. Trainers also make use of subject matter experts, who are senior staff members, supervisors, and managers. These experts provide technical and sales skills training that are specific to a job, such as reading and analyzing credit reportsImplementationAll computer-based trainings will be implemented through the Verizon Wireless intranet through the learning link available to all employees. Managers will be notified that new trainings are available and completion dates will be made clear at this time. For those trainings that will require a classroom, setting the instructors will prepare any documents they may need as part of the implementation phase of the training. All employees that are required to travel outside 50 miles will be reimbursed for mileage and a per-diem rate will be given to those who will be required to miss meals from home. All day classroom trainings will have lunch provided.They will also need to take time to practice their lectures how they are going to deliver the message in the most efficient manor.
