When we buy items from the mall do we really tale our time to sit down at a computer and research to find out how employees in America and other countries are treated? Is it really our responsibility to and core about these aspects as a consumer? Do we as Americans need to wake up and see how America and other countries treat their employees? Well today we are going to go deep in to the controversies to see the American side of this reality. I strongly believe that we as American consumers do not need to hinder ourselves with the way owners in other countries and America treat their workers.
We cannot worry about everyone in the world; we as U.S. citizens have got to take care of ourselves. Not ...view middle of the document...
Workers work to make money, not to make you satisfied about where your products come from. Most everything we buy is from China because they work for cheap. We as U.S. citizens do not have the authority to tell the government “hey do not go trade with that country, they scandalously mistreat their employees.†They would probably ask you “are you demented.†One person being realistic cannot exactly reconstruct the minds of the government on a regular stand point to not barter with countries that mistreat their workers.
You may think we being free American citizens who buy and sell products from our countries and corporations affiliated with China and other countries so not realize the pain and suffering of those who endure the everyday conditions in a factory, whose boss does not care as long as the mandatory quota is reached successfully. On the contrary, what if that is his only way of supporting his family and we took that away? Who are we to make such a decision? If we did that to fulfill our conscious minds for the sake of ourselves we could be considered just as bad or even worse than the factory owner who provided the man a job in those working conditions. Many people may think that by buying products for our country and another country who mistreat their workers are considered a supporter of the mistreatment, but in reality the worker made the decision to work there or not and his choice is really none of our business. We need to focus on the hard and desperate reality’s we have in our own country, because we do not see the issues arousing in our country instead we are too busy trying to fix another countries problems.
America needs you to focus in us not the problems of another country. China is one of the largest mass product producers in America; it would real ignorant of us to convict them of their actions toward factory workers when the same thing is happening in America. America has enough problems within our own country. Why do we see through our problems and not the problems of other countries?
