ERP applicaton modules share information across all business functions in a firm.ERP system is a integrated database made from many ERP application modules,each ERP application controlled by a main database(pc).Modern ERP(ERP II) makes supply chain integration possible.ERP also enables a firm to share customer sales data with the supply chain to help with global replenishment.ERP is founded after manufacturing resource planning(MRP II) which evolved from MRP that stands for material requirement planning.
ERP systems is not meant only for manufacturing businesses,it is also implemented widely in non-profit organizations such as hospitals and goverments.ERP generate real-time information regarding searched data and is used ti increase customers satisfaction and upgrade a particular firm`s efficiency.ERP application modules provide â€œservicesâ€ that communicate with a particular business function.
