The Four Functions of Management
In order to effectively and efficiently work with people and obtain the proper resources to accomplish an organization’s goals, you need the process of management. Good managers must maintain a clear focus on efficiency and effectiveness which will enable them to not only succeed in management, but to achieve overall success with the company.
To gain success in management, management principles must be understood as these functions are especially important in start-up businesses as well as established corporations.

By doing this, management will establish and maintain business relationships, and will also assign required resources.
The assignment of required resources is done through directorial configuration by looking at different departments and seeing the importance to have the harmonization of staff. Management generally tries to find out the best way to handle and determine the division of work according to its need and the available skill sets.
Leading
Leading helps management control and supervise the actions of the staff. It also assists the staff in achieving the company’s goals and to accomplish personal or career goals which is done through employee motivation, communication, and department leadership.
Highly motivated employees generally surpass in job performance and play an important role in achieving the goal. This motivation could come from incentive programs based on job performance or outstanding recognition on a project.
Controlling
Controlling deals with establishing performance standards that are based on the company’s objectives which involves evaluating and reporting actual job performance. Controlling helps to take the necessary preventive measures against the consequences, and to recognize any further developing problems that need corrective actions.

Relation of the Four Functions to Personal Experience
The four functions of management, when cohesively working together, can determine how successful your organization can become. The company I work for has recently demonstrated how a thorough plan, with simple organizing, can be controlled through exemplified leadership skills.
