God is real
As a believer in Christianity it strikes me when someone is an atheist. When you break down the Bible, there are sixty six books and two sections, the Old and New Testament. In these books it talks about the outlook of being a Christian in a sinful world. The most common belief is that we evolved from apes and came from a big bang. If people really believed in logic and sense, they would know that there had to be something outside of the cycle to start the cycle such as God.
If you believe in logic and common sense, this should be simple. Atheists believe that ...view middle of the document...
Yet it is easy for people to believe in a God because of all the things that go on today. It’s a cup half full/half empty; it’s all in your perspective. The opposing view could never believe in a God because of all the hurt and death. Some say the bible cannot be trusted and is just a book of stories that man put together. If you look in the bible shows that it is a legitimate act of literature. Before 500 B.C. the prophet Daniel said that Israel's long-awaited Messiah would begin his ministry 483 years after the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem (Daniel 9:25-26). He then said that the Messiah would be "cut off," killed, and that this event would take place prior to a second destruction of Jerusalem. Abundant documentation shows that these prophecies were perfectly fulfilled in the life (and crucifixion) of Jesus Christ. The decree regarding the restoration of Jerusalem was issued by Persia's King Artaxerxes to the Hebrew priest Ezra in 458 B.C., 483 years later the ministry of Jesus Christ began in Galilee. (Remember that due to calendar changes, the date for the start of Christ's ministry is set by most historians at about 26 A.D. Also note that from 1 B.C. to 1 A.D. is just one year.) Jesus' crucifixion occurred only a few years later, and about four decades later, in 70 A.D. came the destruction of Jerusalem by Titus (Fulfilled prophecy, Dr. Hugh Ross). Dr. Hugh Ross has a full website about prophecies that became true in the bible. This also falls under a historical approach.
Another common belief that if there was not a God that we all evolved. Views following that we evolved is that the world in millions of years old. If that was true and it takes thousands to millions of years for an animal to evolve, where all the fossils showing the species switching? Take species A. he is going to evolve into species B.. If it takes millions of years where are all the species showing the process from A to B. There are none and if species really did evolve like atheists believe then there should be tons of them.
When speaking with atheists some think they know about the bible. Having conversations with them in the past, one guy said “well is God is so loving then why did he take everything away from Lot.” I then proceeded to ask him if he knew what happened to Lot after everything that took place, he answered no. This atheist is one who is very firm in his belief. People hear stuff and just repeat it. If you look at the relationship with a child and their parents, you’ll see that political views and religious views are commonly the same. People have to know their facts. I typically do not get in to an argument over something I do not really know about yet everybody seems to know everything about the bible. People, who are against the bible, typically do not know their facts.
While at work I talk with an atheist. We talked about every...
