|not function properly. It can cause body systems to quit working and it can cause you to get obese and being obese has it’s own |
|health problems that includes diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and dental disease. If you eat right you will have less |
|chance of getting diseases. |

|What does it mean to eat a balanced diet? Why is food choice important for good nutrition? |
|Having a balanced diet means eating the correct number of calories per day but also choosing healthy options from each food group|
|that give you the nutrients and energy your body needs. Doing this can keep you from gaining weight and from losing too much. A |
|balanced diet paired with good exercise will lead to improvements in health. Good food choice will lead to having a healthy |
|heart, healthy life and help maintain a healthy body weight. |

|Why is physical activity important to a person’s health? What changes, if any, should you make to ensure you get enough physical |
|activity? |
|Physical activity is really important when it comes to health because it can help maintain and lose weight, strengthen your body,|
|help you live longer, and reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease and cancers. Frequent and regular physical exercise boosts |
|the immune system. To ensure that you get enough physical activity you first have to make it up in your mind that you want to |
|start exercising and give yourself a reason to keep doing it. |

|What influences your food choices? Why? |
|There are many things that influence what you eat from commercials about restaurants to discounts on food in stores. It also |
|depends what is available or what you can avoid. When we’ve had a hard day, we’re tired and see a good deal on TV, if we can |
|afford it, we most of the time end up going and getting it because we don’t want to cook. Sometimes we want to treat the family |
|or ourselves and that also influences what we eat. |
