There has to be an effort to provide fair and equal employment opportunity for all qualified applicants.
Another challenge human resource managers face in the healthcare industry is retention of qualified and reliable employees. The healthcare industry experienced a financial blow during the recession which has prevented employers from providing raises to their employees. Even though, the employees are not receiving raises, their benefits are steadily increasing which is forcing employees to seek employment at other facilities in an effort to receive higher pay. Therefore, we must implement a pay incentive plan where employees are recognized and rewarded for outstanding work. Another way to retain viable employees is to begin merit pay raises and to gradually implement the increase in the health insurance and benefit premiums. Providing employees with incentives will rebuild the employees’ sense of worth and devotion to the organization which will deter or decrease the turnover rate.

This position will report to the human resources manager in an effort to improve communications and processes between human resources and various departments.
