Effie Pardini supervised eleven accounting clerks in the budget and planning department of a large computer manufacturer. II. Time Context – occurrence of the problem

On one occasion, whenPardini received desirable project and assigned it to a clerk by the name of Joe Madden,Sonia prossor( another clerk) became upset and started reacting in lousy way,becauseshe wanted and liked to do that desirable job given to Joemaden.

III. Point of View (Owner, CEO, Opns, Production, R & D, etc.)

It is up to the discretion of padrini to assign the desirable project to Joe Madden and not to the rest of the staff especially to the clerk who is sensitive and always complaining (Sonia Prosser). Effie Pardini’s decision is for the best interest of the company.

IV. Statement of the Problem

Prosser was particularly distressed because she felt she should have had the assignment. That why she said the group that “Nobody around here ever gives me a good assignment.”

V. Statement of Objectives

Must Objectives – the specific problem that must be solved

To work as a team not as an individual. Mr. Pardini needs to decide to give the desirable project to the person whom he believes to be more competent and reliable based on his observation anddiscretion.

Want Objectives – the general problems need to be solved

To improved and develop employees for the next projects.
To establish a common frame of references and common understanding for all the employees.

VI. Areas of Considerations

ACA1 : Points of view of supervisor

He is just trying to give consideration to the company and client for that particular project. That’s the reason why he gave to the person who is more competent for that particular project. I believe that he will assigndifferent projects to different clerks based on their skills and capacity to complete the project with the limited time

ACA2 : Points of view of employees

They need to attend seminars and work shop to improved their competence and skills

ACA3 : Points of view of client

They are requiring better output from their suppliers.

Best COA : Company’s points of view

To give loyalty to the company not to the supervisor or leader.

To serve clients as BEST as they can.

VII. Assumptions – based on the facts of the problem

All of the eleven clerks are competent enough to handle the projects though they have their differences based on interests and skills. May be some of them need to be motivated by rewards and verbal encouragement.
Some do not behave in a rational or logical manner………explain this point; some are depend on each other for work, etc.

VIII. Conclusions and Recommendations
