Powder, speed | 71.9% | 47.2% |
Crystal, Ice | 10.1% | 43.9% |

In June 2013 for the Victorian population aged 14 years and above was 4,750,990.
On this basis the estimated number of all methamphetamine users, 1.9 percent of this number, would be 90,269.
The 2013 survey says under half of all Victorians who used methamphetamines - 43.9 per cent - mainly took them in the form of ice.
This means an estimated 39,628 Victorians took methamphetamine mainly in the form of ice in the year before the survey.
39.628 may seem a small number compared to Victoria’s population however many other states are larger than Victoria and if we go by the statistics for Victoria for every other state that means that

Queensland residents who took Methamphetamine mainly in the form of ice would be 38325
New South Wale would be 60776.63
South Australia would be 13701
ACT would be 2918
Northern territory would be 10881
Western Australia would be 21152
Tasmania residents would be 4207
that means if you add all these together 191588 Australians have used Ice in 2015

you see even though that might seem like a small number of people compared to the whole of Australia’s population, imagine this, that number is nearly the whole population of the Northern Territory. A whole state of people who have tried ice.

These days sadly many families can tell you about the effect of this destructive drug has had or is having on their families and loved ones. Ice is a drug that once tried, enjoyed and then craved to the point where practically anything will be sacrificed to maintain supply.
