Michael dell leadership style
Michael dell, born in February 1965, at the age of eight he showed his attitude towards people. Because he was never satisfied by the ordinary and he wanted to improve more and more to reach for the best. Dell started his career at the age of 12 by getting to know more about the stamps. He started to sale stamps where he earned $2000 and another thing is that he got great learning experience for the future venture. Michael Dell left the CEO post and in 2007 Dell again returned as a CEO in dell Inc. After analysis of the dell market and its growth and value, analysts said that Dell was the best managed company in technology and it was proved that dell had a good leadership style.

Dell leadership quality
There is a quality bond between the internal and external network of the organisation. There was team work policy within the organisation and he also built a network between the outside retailers. This shows he had a strong network internally and externally to influence the strategic decision.
We can say that Dell is a creative and innovative person because he studied the market and gave the dealership of his products to retailers like Wal-mart and Sam’s club in USA and Tesco and Carphone Warehouse in UK.
Dell is a person who prefers to work in team. Dell believed in Two-in-a-box management. Michael Dell believes that no person is perfect. So he used to pair people in group to get the things done.
According to Dell once the problem was uncovered it should be dealt quickly and effectively. Dell had a policy that “There’s no ‘The dog ate my homework’ here”. This shows that he was a quick and effective decision maker. He never gave huge time to think like meeting and other things he needs a quick and effective decision.
He is a participative quality as he accompanied his staff during their work and made them expert in their role.
Dell had a vision for the future. Introducing his product in the retailer market made him look for the future sales.
The communication in his organisation was very effective. There was an open box management where the communication was done easily. There was no barrier in the communication process as the ideas could flow effectively. The employees could meet the top management without any hindrance.
Michael Dell is his own critiques. For him the things that have gone good could have been better. Even if a product is successful Dell thought about the way to make it even better. This statement could be proved by “Celebrate for a nanosecond. Then move on.”
Time management skill is a key criteria for Dell. Even from his early childhood when he was selling stamps and newspapers. He had all the qualities required in time management. He was focused in his goal, he planned all his objectives, he had decision making power and delegated authority to his subordinates with prioritization of work which shows he has time management skill.
Good leader remain idealistic in their vision. Talking about Dell he was focused in this idea and thinking. The latest tablet of Dell is an innovative idea and this shows Dell was idealistic in his vision.
Unselfish to the core was another quality of Dell. He provided bonuses to his employees and shareholders. He always thought about his staff and welfare of them. Even with his competitor he wanted a fair competition in a friendly environment.
