People are face with conflicts on a daily basis and it does not have to be a bad thing. In this discussion you we see how conflicts fits in to my work environment. Also we will see the different categories of conflicts and which one fits my situation. I will show what individual characteristics that contributed to the conflict, how it affects the organization, and mostly importantly how it was resolved.
A conflict is a process in which one party perceives that its interests are being opposed or negatively affected by another party. How can this process be done? The one facet that may cause the most conflict is communication, but it can also be the aspect to resolve to the problem. Miscommunication usually happens when is a person angry, dislikes, or distrusts the party.

The effects of communications are two-sided; it can fortify coordination difficulties, which leads to conflict. Too little communication as well as too much communication can lead to misunderstanding and conflict can arise. Facial expression, body language and speech lead to true meaning of how you communicate and can stir up a conflict. This can happen regardless whatever culture and is widespread in cross-cultural communication.
After over 25 years of work experience, I have had my share of conflicts. My most recent conflict was at my job as an IT project manager at an international school for the Army Intermediate Leadership Education Course. There were many changes that needed to be made on the information technology side of the house. The conflict truly can in when the faculty opposed to make changes. Computers needed to be changed out and software needed to be upgrade. With all the upgrades training needed to be scheduled to as well. The conflict really came in with the scheduling. The faculty could never seem to agree of the right time to do the training. Should we do individual training or training as a group? Then question arose why it do we have to do this upgrade doing the academic year.
When conflicts arise you never seem to be able to please everyone. Both parties believe that they are doing the right thing for the company.
