The Microsoft office was ranked number one company for their Corporate Social Responsibility reported by Reputation Institute’s 2012 CSR Rep Trak 100 Report, around the world. This study was conducted via various indications such as Citizenship, Governance and Workplace and Microsoft received the first category of Governance and the top ranking all the world.
Defining Citizenship in terms of CSR ranking describe the company’s support to the citizen and protects their environment. Governance describes how the company’s ethical behavior and its transparency with their business dealings with the government. The most interesting CSR of Microsoft if the Economic Opportunities as it every citizen’s interest lies of the standard or the condition of their country’s economy. How Microsoft identifies this as their CSR attracts the trust from the government, partnering nation, their employees and the community. Economic opportunities provide quality products at affordable prices of the goods or services. This indication shows the support Microsoft has towards its consumers and the welfare of everyone involved with the company. There are competitions amongst Microsoft and other information technologies companies that almost provides the same services.
Microsoft main strategy is to drive corporate citizenship forward by recognizing the high level of commitments from their management towards their employees and their partnering companies.
