A critique of Mindwriter’s Corporation research proposal will be reviewed for its effectiveness. The research method that was chosen for the proposal and how well it worked will also be discussed. It is clearly defined that the key point is to improve service or product failures. Another key point focus here is that word of mouth is very important. The last thing a business needs is negativity that can spread quickly and ruin their reputation causing business loss. Everyone from friends to business associates makes a difference.
For the research design to accomplish the objectives of exploration they chose to go with Qualitative techniques. Qualitative refers to the meaning definition, analogy, model or metaphor to characterize something. To accomplish this the service manager, call center manager and account executives will be interviewed on the internal and external processes of CompleteCare to develop a mail survey. (Cooper & Schindler, 2003, chap. 6) For the questionnaire design they chose to go with a post card size since it’s the most cost effective method to get feedback on. Ten open-ended questions will be introduced along with a five-point expectation scale. At the end comments and suggestions will also be included. It is also a good idea that the call center reference number, model and items serviced will also be included. Another good thing is that these post cards will be self addressed and prepaid postage so that customers just drop in the mail for added convenience. A pilot test is always a good idea to see how...
