As the Manager of Blessings Hospital of Prince George’s County, it has come to my attention that this organization is getting ready to be taken to higher heights in productivity and accountability. First of all, I would like to commend all the staff members who have went over and beyond the call of duty to make sure that our hospital is meeting the highest standards of all. We believe here that patients are first and we care about the importance of their well being. I just wanted to inform you all that what you have been doing is good but I want to prepare for some changes that are coming ...view middle of the document...

All goals that are put in place will be rewarded with certificates, promotions, luncheons, gifts cards and or company outings. I will also set a time aside to recognize all staff members once a month. This can also help me to incorporate relationships with staff members and they would have the opportunity to interact with other co workers. I will discuss the matters of smiling; being pleasant to customers. At the same time I will set a day aside to work with employees and the customers so they can see how I operate as well; this will exhilarate team work. Also take up a survey pertaining to how the employees like working for the company. Ask employees to place responses in a suggestion box. Once responses are received read over them and discuss them out loud. This will let employees know that you hear them and you are concerned about how they feel. Take all suggestions into consideration and try my best to meet the needs of staff members. This will help the morale of my company and help the staff members to feel respected, safe, valued and taken care of (Palmer, 2007). This will also show them that I understand their wants and desires as well. This is me as the manager getting to know my employees as individuals and this would motivate them to want to develop strategies that achieve a continuous release of energy that is more intensive and takes time to build.

Thirdly, I would use the acquired needs theory by switching roles and responsibilities every six months so that each individual can feel comfortable with every department. It may come a time where they might have to step in to help another department. This would also be something that would be voted upon because every employee may not be interested in doing this. I...
