Cisco UCS E-Series Server modules are next-generation, power-optimized, x86, Intel® Xeon® 64-bit blade servers designed to be deployed in Cisco Integrated Services Routers Generation 2 (ISR G2). These single-socket blade servers balance simplicity, performance, reliability, and power efficiency. They are well suited for applications and infrastructure services typically deployed in small offices and branch offices.
Cisco UCS E-Series Server modules are available in two form factors. The first is a single-wide blade server powered by a high-performance yet power-efficient Intel® Xeon® processor E3 with four cores, up to 16 Gigabytes of RAM, and two Terabytes of local storage ("Cisco Ucs E-Series Servers", 2012).
The La Jolla store will receive a second blade server for communicating and backing up data at the other locations as well as its own location. The second is a double-wide blade server powered by a high-performance Intel® Xeon® processor E5-2400 with up to six cores and support for up to 48 Gigabytes of RAM and three Terabytes of local storage ("Cisco Ucs E-Series Servers", 2012).
Cisco Secure Access Control Server Solution Engine, will also be installed at the central location delivering Ready-to-Deploy Access Policy Control
The Cisco Secure Access Control Server (ACS) Solution Engine is a dedicated, rack-mountable appliance for network access policy control. It helps you comply with growing regulatory and corporate requirements, improve productivity, and contain costs. It supports multiple scenarios simultaneously, including:
Device administration: Authenticates administrators, authorizes commands, and provides an audit trail
Remote Access: Works with VPN and other remote network access devices to enforce access policies
Wireless: Authenticates and authorizes wireless users and hosts and enforces wireless-specific policies
Network admission control: Communicates with posture and audit servers to enforce admission control policies
Cisco Secure ACS Solution Engine lets you centrally manage access to network resources for a growing variety of access types, devices, and user groups. These key features address the current complexities of network access control:
Support for a range of protocols including Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) and non-EAP protocols provides the flexibility to meet all your authentication requirements
Integration with Cisco products for device administration access control allows for centralized control and auditing of administrative actions
Support for external databases, posture brokers, and audit servers centralizes access policy control and lets you integrate identity and access control systems
The switch will be a Cisco Catalyst 2960-X Series Fast Ethernet access switches offer superior Layer 2 threat defense capabilities and basic Layer 3 static routing with 16 routes. Which offer the following:
2x1GE uplink
24, and 48 Fast Ethernet port configurations
Advanced QoS,...
