If you are like most Americans, you probably have to deal with stress issues related to having a “hectic schedule” or living a “fast-paced lifestyle.” Consequently, if you fail to listen to your body, you may find yourself dealing with several health problems relating to stress. (Govindan). According to Arne Anderson, everyone needs or requires a certain level of stress; however, one must know their limitations. People should become familiar with stress signals. Unfortunately, if these signals are ignored over a long period of time, the effects of stress can be fatal (Anderson).

The spa will accommodate both men and women. There will be a variety of popular massages available such as the Swedish Massage, Aromatherapy Massage, Hot Stone Massage and Deep Tissue Massage (Wong). Also, facials, body treatments, manicures and pedicures will be available. Because the environment is important to the business, the spa will offer eco-friendly products. The facility will be spacious, with elegantly decorated rooms and beautiful linens. The décor will be soothing and the ambiance calming. All employees will be expected to provide outstanding and quality customer service.
The mission of the spa will be to provide a spectacular spa experience and to exceed the customer’s expectations. “Typically, customers buy what they want, so the most successful business owners will create a product or service that will fulfill the desires and provide a necessary solution.” (Dekinder-Smith)
There will be different membership programs to select from, the customer can compare and choose the best options. Customers that commit to memberships will receive discounts on all products and services. Non-members will pay slightly higher prices; however, discounts will be available on specific days to attract new customers.
In order to ensure the success of a spa business, it is important to aggressively promote the business. There is a lot of competition and effective marketing will help the business “stay ahead and stay open longer.” (Davis) Marketing strategies such as creating a web page, advertising on social websites, newspaper ads, flyers with discount offers, and radio commercials will be used to promote the business and bring in more customers. “The sooner you get many customers, the sooner you can get your investment back and begin to make real profit.
