Opposing Gay Marriage

Opposing Gay Marriage
A battle has been in progress for years over whether equal rights and equal protection against discrimination should be extended to homosexuals. In this rough draft essay I will briefly discuss reasons why gay marriages shouldn’t be allowed first of all it is a disgrace from what marriage is supposed to be for, secondly God Said that it was an abomination and that you shall not lie with the same sex. But obviously same sex couples are paying a least amount of attention to what God says about gay marriage. The topic of homosexual marriages is a common issue today. This topic has been debated bringing up many valid points, but the fact of the ...view middle of the document...

Describe homosexual behavior. The Bible clearly indicates that people who practice homosexuality are in sin, but that the way is open for them, as for other sinners, to turn from their sin and be forgiven if they trust in Christ's sacrifice as payment for their sins. In (Leviticus 18:22) we read: Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind; it is abomination. And in (Romans 1: 26) For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. In (1Timothy 1), homosexuals are equated with lawless, disobedient, ungodly, sinners, murderers, kidnappers and liars. And in 1 Corinthians 6, they are described as among the unrighteous, such as fornicators, idolators, adulterers, effeminate, thieves, drunkards, covetous, revilers, extortioners, who will not inherit the kingdom of God. Unless they repent from there wicked ways. The argument of same-sex marriage is important, not only for the religious and legal precedent, but because the welfare of families, especially the interest of children now and in the future. If gay marriage was allowed, it could bring about change
To the traditional way of thinking for today’s youth. I get worried sometimes about my
Children in the society and the effect it my have on them if they were to see a gay couple together in a public place. I had an uncle who cheated on his wife in an undercover relationship with another man he had two kids with his wife a 6 year old daughter and a 10 year old son when she found out that he was gay she started keeping the kids around her more often than usual because he started acting to gay around them. She finally got a
Divorce from him and got full custody of there children. And he end up being with his gay lover after all. As his kids got other they started to see how he had became and didn’t want to see him like that because they were too ashamed of his homosexual acts. Unfortunely it wasn’t a good ending for my uncle he end up with HIV and suffer 5 more terrible tormented years from the disease and finally died from full blown AIDS. It doesn’t pay to be gay it is an uncivilized act that should be damned forever. Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed.
Gay marriage relationships does nothing at all to provide the states attention to broadcast to society accept that it is wrong, so there is no reason to award them the precious benefits of marriage. The debate over whether the state ought to recognize gay marriages has far focused on the issue as one of civil rights.
