Organizations are hiring qualified applicants from different ethic and cultural backgrounds. These individuals have had a hard time trying to fit in with organizations and the other employees of the organizations. Times are changing though and employees are learning to see that the only difference between those groups is what is observable on the outside. On the inside these groups share the same values and beliefs as everyone else who works for the organization. Large organizations sometimes fail because of bad decisions made by upper management. The number of organizations with strong business ethics is falling compared to reports made before the year 2000 (K. H. Tucker, 2007). Organizations need strong business ethics to be successful. These strong business ethics help win the trust with customers, vendors, suppliers, and other organizations. An observable aspect of business ethics is misconduct from employees, managers, and upper management. Misconduct can range from not following protocol to misuse of company property. Strong business ethics can lead to a strong organizational culture, which is needed for that strong foundation for success. Changes can easily crack that foundation without a good change management process in place.
