Every human being has set expectations and goals in life that they hope to soon accomplish (Kennedy, 2009). However; not every human is perfect. Some live up to what goals and expectations they set and others either choose to go on a different path or make a wrong turn listening to backseat drivers, the normal reaction to that situation would be to hold the backseat driver accountable for the mistakes that, but the person behind the wheel should assume full responsibility. Experiencing parenthood is not an easy task, especially if you are a single parent. Regardless of shortcomings every parent has a moral obligations to feed, bathe, clothe, and provide a roof over our children’s head. The most important of these is love and listen to our children. Teaching our children to become responsible in their actions, intentions and ways of thinking toward other people is another aspect of personal responsibility. It is easy to teach a child personal responsibility if you have been educated on the basics of respect, but changing adult’s way of thinking is not as easy because maturity has set in and most adults have his or her own understanding of accountability.
Being financially responsibility has a large amount of influence on how you act on personal gain Money makes a difference in how everyone makes decisions. Not acquiring the resources to provide for your family will cause an abundance of stress and depression. Try to think of ways of solving and preventing money problems, make wise decisions, and spending habits. I am a firm believer that King James was right when saying “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows” (James, 1775, 1 Timothy 6:10).
The relationship between Personal responsibility and college success depends on what you want to accomplish in college and personal life. Students must manage their time wisely between college and personal life, and recognizing your learning approach that will help you with learning the material at hand is a huge benefit. Developing personal responsibility is a key aspect to becoming a successful college student.
The plan that one should follow can include attempting to practice time management wisely with the intention of becoming successful and passing all college courses. The world places very demanding obstacles in your way, but we as students must be aware of these distractions.
