Personal responsibility defines how a person will succeed not only academically but also throughout one’s life. When a person encompasses personal responsibility, he or she executes obligations in every aspect of his or her existence. It is necessary for a person to exhibit personal responsibility if one desires to have a lucrative and successful life.

Students can get assignments done early, and subsequently rushing to write a quality 10 page paper on hamburgers. This can relieve some stress that people everywhere worry over daily. If one does not have a plan, things in that person’s life can start to go downhill exceptionally fast. Matt Oechsli (2008) articulated this best when he wrote on goal focus;” Naturally high achievers set and meet goals. But [sic] the engine driving this focus is the habit of continually re-activating the process, which I[sic] refer to as the ‘achievement cycle’-continually setting goals and diligently overcoming all [sic] obstacles.” He goes on to write, “High achievers are extremely disciplined, and this is what activates their aforementioned achievement cycle. Achievers make the sacrifices this discipline requires’.” Cause and effect is unavoidable, and if one prepares to handle situations, a bad situation is not made worse by the lack of planning.
Success without personal responsibility
Success without personal responsibility is a contradiction and simply impossible. If personal responsibility is not present on one’s life, success is not something that can be acquired. If a person does not put forth the effort, and does just what he or she want, nothing can get done. Bills would not get paid because a paycheck was not earned. Children would not get fed because going and hanging out with friends was more important. A person who does not show up for class cannot pass an examination. A promotion at work never occurs if there is no job. There are cycles that unavoidably will occur based on the decisions people make and the personal responsibility exhibited. If one does not go to school a degree will not be the reward....
