When I was little, it never came across my mind to become a pharmacist but growing up surrounded by doctors and nurses had made me curious on how drugs worked and how they were able to cure illness. It is amazing that after a few days of consuming the medicines, one can be in a pink of health. Slowly, the interest of becoming a pharmacist grew stronger after I began doing some research about it. Soon, I realised that I always wanted to help others by prescribing the correct amount of drugs and to create awareness among the society so that the drugs prescribed will not be overdose which can lead to addiction. Furthermore, pharmacy is a broad profession. I can either work in a patient-orientated career or in a business sector. Consequently, this will provides me with a flexible career path.

In maths, graphing calculator is an essential calculating tool. I am able to draw graphs and do the calculations faster. I believe it will help in analysing the amount of drugs that are safe for the patients to consume.
My father always told me that charity begins at home. That is why when I am back in my hometown, Kg Tamau, a small village in the district of Kota Belud in Sabah, Malaysia, my sister and I will organise a smart educational camp for youngsters in my village to give them motivation to change their families’ statuses. Furthermore, we also give free tuition to the children in hope that it will help them achieve better grades in school. In college, I joined MADU (Make a Difference United) club and volunteered to teach the unfortunate children of age three till 12 from Tengku Budriah Children’s Home the basic learning skills such as reading, writing, and speaking. They are mainly there due of court orders and have learning difficulties.
During my pastime, I enjoy sewing beads and clothes. This activity teaches me the meaning of patience as sewing beads is not easy. The beads are very small and it requires skills and creativity to turn the small beads into beautiful patterns. Besides that, I like to surf the net especially on Instagram to gain inspiration to make new and unique things since it is my hobby to decorate the house with a minimal cost and without having to ask my parents for money. To keep myself healthy and fit, I would go to the gym along with my father. It helps to tone up my muscles, maintain my ideal body shape and boost up my self-esteem and confidence level.
I am looking forward going to university because it will make me closer to my dream job. Furthermore, I would like to set a good example to my fellow siblings and my relatives. I believe that everything can come true if I keep on telling myself that I am capable of doing it and if I am willing to work hard to ensure that my dream turns into reality and not just stay as a dream. I know becoming a pharmacist is not an easy task but, I am willing with all my heart to study pharmacy as I am determined to change the life of others and I would like to challenge myself to the limit.
