Research occurs when information is collected and analyzed and the issues at the present time have a plethora of solutions. The economy may have been negatively distressed consumers these days, so many people cannot afford to buy the high price items outside of the budget as before until ...view middle of the document...

This poses a problem because many consumers shop late at night in hopes of avoiding the long lines. So customers become irritated and some no longer wish to continue wasting time standing in line at Wal-Mart.

Some variables that can be considered is that by paying attention to the amount of traffic that come in and out during the workweek gives insight to how many cashiers are needed. Around what time the business is at the busiest time of the day. This is a way to manage how many cashiers they will need during the period of the day so that they can prevent long lines from forming. Another thing to take into consideration is that if Wal-Mart have first time cashiers, put them on a shift that does not have much traffic or with someone who has experience so that the more experienced cashier can aid them if they have a problem during business day. Or the other alternative is to create a training environment and hire one trainer to train a class. Although, Wal-Mart has found the path to make money and grow. With this knowledge Wal-Mart should manage the funds better to ensure maximization of all tools and bodies. Cashiers on staff during the day should alleviate the tension shoppers feel when shopping at the Wal-Mart establishments. They could also inaugurate more self-checkout lanes. As a company grows, certain precautions set in place to ensure that Wal-Mart is able to service the growing amount of consumers by increasing its cash demands (Barringer & Ireland, 2010, p. 251), and to do this via the revenue, Wal-Mart has to please their customers and ensure that they are loyal customers.
