Pureswing Golf, Inc., develops, manufactures, and sells a complete line of golf equipment, including all accessories since 1995. In next coming six months the company will have more than 35 project teams emerging new ideas across the entire product range. Pureswing desires to find dedicated engineers from within the organization and promote them as a project manager. Over the course of my business life and my academic career allowed me to experience many skills. My last personally owned company had 450 employees and I myself employed at least 50 professionals. Hiring process for the right employee is very critical task and it comes with years of experience. In my personal point of view I have at least 90% of aforementioned skills. But this is not too important. The most important approach is, when I was hiring professionals, besides their individual skills, I was always focusing on the burning desire of an individual.
Further, people may have many talent and skills but without the burning desire and definitiveness of purpose no one can be successful. For example, what we are learning in ECPI now will be absolute in next five years. Job requirements and skills are changing rapidly, what I focus is a burning desire of an employee. Of course this is my personal opinion, skills are undeniably important, but without the working desire and inner qualities is the most important approach in my opinion.
