EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The recent increase in minimum wages results in an increase in the discretionary income of our current advertising base. If the existing advertisement consumers can be encouraged to spend their extra income, the demand of our current advertising base can be shifted toward more upscale products. The implication of this is an expanded set of ads buyers and potential profits from them. This project is a market study in potential new products in which ads targeted for the new minimum wage consumers segment can be created.
The scope of the project is finding the total incomes of the current advertising base (ads consumers). This figure approximates the current market demand and enables a determination of potential new products in which demand can be created via advertisements. The result of this project will be used in devising a strategy to create and capture new demand. Included in the report are implementation technique, time and cost overview, and evaluation criteria

In the traditional minimum wage model the quantity of supplied labor is greater than the quantity demanded. Minimum wage is above equilibrium price and quantity. Moreover, minimum wage prevents labor supplied and labor demanded from moving toward equilibrium price and quantity. Minimum wage levels become the floor and wages cannot fall below the floor price (Minimum Wage, 2010).
Minimum wages were first proposed as a way to control the proliferation of sweat shops in manufacturing industries. The sweat shops employed large numbers of women and young workers, paying them what were considered to be substandard wages. The sweatshop owners were thought to have unfair bargaining power over their workers, and a minimum wage was proposed as a means to make them pay “fairly.” Over time, the focus changed to helping people, especially families, become more...
