Science: Creation Over Evolution Essay

Science: Creation over Evolution
The first scripture in the bible states, “ In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” The universe and the existence of the human race stood on this foundational truth until the theory of evolution was introduced in the 1800‘s. The author Charles Darwin wrote a book called, “ The Origin of Species,” which revealed a scientific theory based on the process of natural selection. Since, the creation-evolution controversy is a recurring cultural, political, and theological dispute about the origins of the earth, humanity, life, and the universe. In essence, science has become a focal point for many debates concerning creation and evolution. ...view middle of the document...

Though, through research Creation can be defended and proved in many instances by scientific studies, theories, and facts. For example, in a book called Episteme Scientia: The Law of All That Is, the author Samuel Hunt challenges Charles Darwin’s The Origin of Species that science has proven an intelligent designer all along. In chapter 3 of Episteme Scientia: The Law of All That Is, Samuel Hunt talks about the scientific term matter and creation. He starts off by saying, “I submit that matter itself is not the whole of the creation.” Though, he adds, “Darwin and his modern followers have either forgotten or purposely ignored the fact that DNA is an alphabetical language constructed by intelligence (scientific fact). All of this is derived from scientific study. We see clearly that science is on a crash course with God Himself.” Also, you will find in his discoveries the relationships between matter, frequency, and sounds. Hunt says, “this relationship shows that matter can be spoken into existence by a sonic influence. Since there is a mathematical relationship between all matter and sound, matter can not only be manipulated by sound, i.e. melting ice, breaking glass, boiling water, manipulating DNA — but matter can be spoken into existence, developing from sound, into light, then into matter. Sound manipulates and creates all matter and movement in the universe.” Samuel Hunts motive is to reveal that which can be concluded as scientific law, not (theory); by only using data of things that can be observed, and then demonstrating the proof through laboratory experiments. In contrast, the evolution theory of Charles Darwin is a concept based on the suggestion that those

members of a species that are a little stronger, a little larger, or run a little faster will live longer to procreate offspring with these superior adaptations. Darwin's theory suggests that millions of generations later the changes will result in new species. These adaptations are called links or intermediates. For example, the idea of natural selection sounds great when considering deer. The deer that can sense danger the quickest and run the fastest are able to escape the predator on a more consistent basis. However, when studying other animals such as the bird and its possible evolution of a wing cannot be answered by evolutionist. Furthermore, The wing stub did not make the bird more adaptable in his environment. The wing was much too small for the bird to fly. Why would a bird evolve a wing that was useless? This is backwards from the evolutionary natural selection concept that birds adapt and change in order to survive better in their environment. The bird with a half-size wing is placed at a disadvantage in its environment. Why would the bird continue for millions of generations improving a wing that was useless? The theory of evolution is based on natural selection of the most adaptable member of a species. A bird with a useless wing is at a severe...

For some people, mostly Christians, view evolution as a conflict with their beliefs. How can you prove creation or evolution? You cannot prove them with science. Sceince and Religion

1491 words - 6 pages sharpest clash between religion and science in the United States has centered on the issue of evolution. While nearly all scientists agree that life on Earth has evolved over billions of years, public opinion polling over the last few decades has shown that 40% to 50% of Americans consistently reject the very idea of natural evolution, largely on the grounds that it conflicts with biblical accounts of creation (Williams, 2006). There are some

The Evolution vs. Creation - Debate

736 words - 3 pages The Evolution vs. Creation debate is arguably considered the greatest question of origins, why, how, and where did everything come from. Science has made the compelling discovery that, at some point, the universe began. Both sides of the Great Debate now agree that the universe has not existed eternally. This is where the agreement ends. As far as the "why" and "how" of the origins, this is where the division and contention begin. There

Scientists and philosophers later came up with the theory of evolution, which was then put up against the creation theory. The reason why there is plenty of controversy over who holds the correct answer is due to the fact that no one theory has been proven fact. Till the day of confirmation arises, there will

The reality behind this situation is that Darwinism deals with physical truth and science while creationism positions itself outside this truth into a senseless guess.
