Today, Canadians are concerned with many issues involving health care.
There are some problems in public health care system, like waiting time, capital and so on. So, some people think private health care is a better choose. However, I disagree with that. I want to demonstrate that public health care has more stability and more protection than private health care.

The objective under the Act is “to protect, promote and restore the physical and mental well-being of residents of Canada and to facilitate reasonable access to health services without financial or other barriers” (Justice laws Website. http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/c-6/).Under federal law, private clinics are not legally allowed to provide services covered by the Canada Health Act. Regardless of this legal issue, many do offer such services. So, this is a big risk for private health care. If you have medical negligence, you cannot get support from law to protect yourself. So, public health care gets more comprehensive protection than private health care.

The provincial and territorial government have most of responsibility for delivering health and other social services. The federal government is also responsible for health protection and regulation (e.g., regulation of pharmaceuticals, food and medical devices), consumer safety, and disease surveillance and prevention. Five role of provincial and territorial government:” administration of their health insurance plans; planning and funding of care in hospitals and other health facilities; services provided by doctors and other health professionals; planning and implementation of health promotion and public health initiatives; and negotiation of fee schedules with health professionals. “ (Health Canada. http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/hcs-sss/index-eng.php).
