Clapham High Street is made up of a range of amenities such as local shops, takeaways, chemist, post office, schools, village hall, allotments, pubs and a cafe.
The High street is a busy street as it is used not only by local residents but also by surrounding villagers and passing traffic.
Unlike some High streets it is not only used by consumers but also by local residents using its many groups, clubs and establishments in order to socialise with friends and family as well as forming new relationships, this helps to create a real community spirit making the High street central to the village.
