Strategic Plan, Part II: SWOTT Analysis
When one looks to the future of the new business the need for planning and analysis of the company plays a large part in the company’s success and future. Analysis of a company’s internal and external forces and the trends are most often used to help a company through the strategically plan process. “Strategic Planning” sounds a lofty pursuit and perhaps beyond our humble capabilities. Employees need to be legal citizens to work for our company and have the proper documentation to fall within federal and state guidelines. All safety measures will be followed by the company and employees to meet OSHA regulations and city building inspectors. The Company will face issues with safety, employees, and contract obligations that will need to be resolved through re-training and motivation. The company will maintain general liability insurance and workman’s compensation insurance to protect the employees as well as the company, consumer, and the public. CCA Contracting will follow all legal aspects of building in the proper zoning area, paying revenue taxes, paying sub-contractors timely, and up holding all contractual agreements.
Economics is not just the distribution and production of our products and service but also deals with financial considerations of the project. On the financial side the economic state has taken a toll on the building industry. CCA Contracting has to offer a different product or service that sets them apart from our competitor. We are researching the consumer needs and the areas that our target customers are in to market our innovative designs, ease of construction, and distinguishing service. Networking with sub-contractors, building material suppliers, previous customer referrals, and advertising in financial areas that warrant remodeling will get our name out in the communities. Networking and getting out into the community will be the challenge for management. This is one area that is hard for our management people because they are not as comfortable as if they were overseeing projects. Once a project has been contracted, project managers are at ease and the production of the job starts. Acquiring timelines for each step in the production process and budgets that need to be met to maintain the completion and distribution of the project will be completed to their satisfaction.
CCA Contracting wants to be the builder of choice in the Phoenix Area and to achieve this strategy our company needs to be innovators in the industry. Offering products to complete a Customer’s; house, office, business, addition, or remodel of the latest technology and design will be our ticket to success. Our company has been able to change over to the concept of using environmentally safe products and changes in how the company does demolition of a project to reduce waste. These different innovations will also set our company ahead of competitors by already offering green products and services.
Our company focuses on two structures: cost and organizational. The cost structure is important for our company’s financial success. At CCA Contracting the project manager, my husband, and I negotiate the best prices with our suppliers.
