Abstract
Strategic management analyses, decisions, and actions an organization undertakes in order to create and sustain competitive advantages. What kind of strategy a firm undertakes will influence the company development. Apple and Lenovo are two giants in computer industry, and how the two companies can achieve so great success, it is inseparable with their suitable strategy. Through analyses Apple and Lenovo’s products, market and strength or weakness, to see the strategy of the two companies, it will be a reference to other firms.

Apple

Apple Inc. was established by Steve Jobs and his partners on April 1, 1976 in California, and went to public in 1980, which is a multinational corporation that designs and markets consumer electronics, computer software, and personal computers. The company's best-known hardware products include the Macintosh line of computers, the iPod, the iPhone and the iPad. Apple software includes the Mac OS X operating system; the iTunes media browser; the iLife suite of multimedia and creativity software; the iWork suite of productivity software; Aperture, a professional photography package; Final Cut Studio, a suite of professional audio and film-industry software products; Logic Studio, a suite of music production tools; the Safari web browser; and iOS, a mobile operating system. As of July 2011, the company operates 357 retail stores in ten countries, and an online store where hardware and software products are sold. Now Apple had 46,600 full time employees and 2,800 temporary full time employees worldwide and had worldwide annual sales of $65.23 billion.

The computer can be developed to today’ s situation, it benefits from the LSI development very fast, and the OS has changed for several version in the past 30 years, even now, most computers still use the Microsoft and Intel combination products, but the market situation has changed.
