The Center for Writing (CWE) is another excellent tool you might find your self using a lot. In this you will find the plagiarism checker and also a grammar checker for you. I believe these are the two most helpful things you will use during your time in Axia College. You can copy and paste your papers and get the results in less then an hour at times before you actually
Submit them to your class. I have learned there are so many ways you can actually commit plagiarism and this is a very helpful tool. CWE also offers sample papers, easy development, along with a thesis generator. I have used this little but in the future I hope to use them in future classes I am in.
Upholding Academic Honesty
Axia’s academic policy is simple and straight forward and to the point. When using the online library and resources, online consultation with faculty and registration system most do so with honesty and integrity. In addition to truthful representation in these areas, students must acknowledge references from its original works, and use writing and formatting style generally accepted as sound academic writing. The act of plagiarism can ultimately lead to your removal from your course and ultimately from the college.
Managing and Achieving Goals
First and foremost I believe that setting and achieving goals is on of the most important things that any student should do before they start. Most of us had some sort of goal in mind before we made the decision to sign up for classes whether it be to advance in work or just to go back to school. In order to successfully achieve goals we need to have short term and long term goals sett and dead lines for meeting them. Then you must also have a plan set in place on how you will meet these goals.
For example: Short term goal: Earn an associate in ITT/ and design.
Deadline: 20 months.
How: Enroll in Axia College and complete 60 credit hours.
By doing this you have set up a specific plan of action to follow. We have formulated a plain that we will more then likely stick to and follow.
Now we need to decide on a long term goals. Give them a deadline, and a plan to achieve these goals.
For example: Long term goals: Join an ITT department.
Deadline: After you receive your degree.
How: Complete your degree and formulate a complete resume.
In doing this you have outlined your short term and long term goals you have given your self deadlines in which to meet each one. You have set up plans of actions to do this they are reasonable and realistic. We haven’t set to high of goals and we have given are selves plenty of time to achieve them in. We should set goals like this with everything we try to do while we attend Axia and even in are personal lives.
Managing Time Wisely
