4.1 Explore different types of occupational opportunities.
On completion of Health and Social Care Diploma Level 3 leaners can progress to various job roles, dependent on their chosen pathway. The following list indicates the opportunities available:
Home care assistants
Working in the community
Children, Families and Young People’s services
Allied Health Professionals
Health care scientist
4.2 Identify sources of information related to a chosen career pathway.

Thousands of patients elderly and vulnerable people are being discharged from hospital in the middle of the night is extremely concerning.
5.2 Outline different viewpoints around an issue of public concern relevant to the sector.
There are some key problems in hospitals failing to meet essential standards. Some of those points would be concerned patients and their families and overworked hospital staff who are poorly trained and the hygiene of the hospital not always been of a high standard.
Regarding patients' dignity it said that, curtains were not properly closed when personal care was given to people in bed. Call bells were often out of patients' reach or not responded to in reasonable time. Staff spoke to patients condescendingly or dismissively. There were not always enough staff with the right training on duty to spend enough time giving care
Regarding patients' nutritional needs it found that, people were not given the help they needed to eat. Patients were interrupted during meals and having to leave their food unfinished. Nutritional needs such as requirements for specialist diets, were not assessed properly. Records of food and drink were not kept accurately so the patients' progress was not monitored. Many patients were unable to clean their hands before meals.
5.3 Describe how issues of public concern have altered public views of the sector.
People are scared to go in to hospital or their family members to be hospitalized. This is because of the issues raised above. Has there been action taken due to the lack of meeting essential standards expected at a hospital.
5.4 Describe recent changes in service delivery, which have affected own area of work.
Actions have been taken to the issues listed above in assessment criteria 5.2. After having received so many complaints and so many death taken place within a short period of time hospitals have been taken under investigation. Patients are now been taken care of to their best of ability, and the death rate of decreased in the past year’s.
