Between voice and data networks the way we communicate has evolved momentously. A data network is an electronic communications process that allows for the orderly transmission and reception of data. Voice Networks are local, national, or international networks used to carry voice or telephone traffic.
Cellular network technology supports a ranked configuration formed by based transceiver station (BTS), mobile switching center (MSC), home locations registers (HLR), and public switched telephone network (PSTN). These cells composed provide radio reporting over large physical areas.
A landline is a fixed line or a wire line such as, a metal wire or fiber optic cable. A landline is also used to describe a linking amongst two or more points that are comprised of a dedicated physical cable. SMS stands for short message service. When someone sends a SMS message, the message flows through the SMSC, then to the tower, and the tower sends the message to the phone as a little packet of data on the control channel. Moreover, when you send a message, your phone sends it to the tower on the control channel and it goes from the tower to the SMSC and from there to its last stop.
VoIP operation starts as an analog signal stemming from a regular telephone, which is digitized and transmitted over the Internet via a conversion device. The distant end is then changed back to analog telephone using a comparable device appropriate for input. A "gateway" is positioned in the middle of the voice code and the digital data transport circuit. A matching device will also be at the end of the link. This equipment transmits out the indicating role on a telephone call.
The main technology of Skype and Face time is voice-over-internet-protocol. All computers logged in to Skype are associated in a peer-to-peer network, which tracks in the same way as those used for file sharing. One of the major differences between Skype and Face time is that Face time can only be used through Apple products where Skype can be used on many different types of products including Apple.
There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes whether you are messaging, calling, or using video chat. Voice and data networking continues to push the envelope. Every decade there’s a new way to link up with each other keeping us connected in ways we never thought possible.
