In your opinion, what are some indicators of a good leader? Why are these indicators important to you?
In order to have a successful business, good leaders have to possess some key qualities and learn to emphasize them. They have to be able to communicate, listen, motivate their team. Good communication skills are required at every level of business and good leaders must possess outstanding communication skills. Good leaders have to believe what they say. Good leaders have to listen to others and truly absorb what they are saying. They are telling him what he needs to know. Inspiring others is the mark of an effective leader. Motivation is best done by example and guidance, not by issuing commands. Honesty is another key quality that good leaders must possess. Your employees are a reflection of yourself. There is a natural tendency to trust people more when they appear confident. For most of us, dealing with a confident person helps assure us that the person is also competent. It is also important that a good leader with confidence is not overly aggressive. Leaders who are overly aggressive are sometimes referred to as brash. Some people with say that being overly aggressive is actually a sign of a lack of confidence. Leader with confidence are also able to admit when they are wrong or have made a mistake. Confident leaders are also humble. Humility doesn’t mean that you’re weak or unsure of yourself. It means that you have the self-confidence to recognize the value of others without feeling threatened. It means you recognize that you may not have all the answers. And it means that you give credit where credit is due.

In my experience, the leadership traits that bring out the best in myself and the people around me is recognition, reward and trust. Leaders who are more concerned with their team’s recognition, with making sure they are given the credit for the work of their team has done, is bringing out the best in others. These leaders made sure that they are bringing out the best in others. Leaders exceled at creating opportunities to provide rewards, recognition and thanks to their staff. These leaders created a work environment in which people feel important and appreciated. From my experiences, being recognized and rewarded was as though I was important. I wanted to work harder if my boss who showed appreciation for my work. I was content if I was giving a simple pat on the back for a job well done. It keeps employees driven to do their best every day. Leaders must treat people as they would want to be treated. Leader have to show that people are important.
